This program  provides strong consultant research supervision backed up by a stellar Preventive Medicine staff of the College of Medicine

    • The Field of Ophthalmology is both surgical and medical
      • We teach our residents updated/current surgical techniques and standards of care for the management of ophthalmic conditions 
      • After completion of residency training, graduates can manage general ophthalmic conditions medically and surgically.
  • The Field of Ophthalmology encompasses a broad patient-reach 
    • We cater to all patients with ophthalmic complaints -across all age groups, gender, ethnic, and socio-economic background.
  • Good vision is essential
    • Correction/treatment of visual complaints is rewarding to the physician and empowering to patients
