Infographic Making Contest

Qualifications and Mechanics

  1. The Infographics Making Contest is spearheaded by the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. 
  2. This aims to raise awareness and deepen understanding of Anesthesia among participants and stakeholders, promote creativity and innovation in presenting complex information and encourage collaboration among students, professionals, and enthusiasts in the field of Anesthesia.
  3. This contest is open to all employees, healthcare professionals, faculty and students of UERM Medical Center interested in Anesthesia. 
  4. Participants may join individually or in teams of up to three (3) members. Each participant/team will be assigned an Anesthesia resident for content consultation. For assignments, contact the Chief Resident.
  5. Participants may choose from or be inspired by the following themes:
    • Advances in Anesthesia Technology 
    • The Role of Anesthesiologists in Patient Care 
    • Anesthesia and Patient Safety 
    • General anesthesia 
    • Regional Anesthesia: Epidural and spinal anesthesia 
    • Ambulatory Anesthesia
  6. Each infographic must include the title, author/s names, and at least three references cited in appropriate format. 
  7. Content must contain factual information, statistics, and relevant references. Data privacy violations will be addressed through legal action. 
  8. Entries must be original, not plagiarized, and not previously published. Non-compliance will result in disqualification.
  9. Participants must post their entry on Facebook, and submit infographic file and the Facebook post link via email to anesthesiology@uerm.edu.ph with the subject, “INFOGRAPHICS POSTER MAKING CONTEST – [SUBTOPIC OF CHOICE].” 
  10. The submitted entry must include a 150-word brief description discussing the infographic and its significance in the body of the submission email. The entry must also follow and adhere these specifications:
    • Format: PDF or PNG
    • File size: Maximum of 10 MB
    • Artwork size: 2 x 3 feet
    • Use of color, typography, and visual elements should enhance clarity and engagement
    • Name of Anesthesiology resident involved in the content supervision
  11. The deadline for submission of entries is on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 05:00 PM.
  12. Entries will be evaluated by our Panel of Judges including experts in Anesthesia and Graphic Design using the following criteria: 

    Content Accuracy and Relevance

    • Accuracy of information presented
    • Relevance to the theme and subtopics

    40%

    Creativity and Originality

    • Unique approach to the topic
    • Innovative design elements that capture attention

    30%

    Visual Appeal

    • Effective use of colors, fonts, and layout
    • Overall aesthetic and clarity of design

    15%

    Impact and Communication

    • How well the infographic communicates its message to the target audience

    10%

    Social Media Engagement 

    • Total likes, share and comments

    5%

  13. First place shall win Php 5,000 cash gift, followed by the Second place worth Php 2,000 and the Third place worth Php 1,000. All winners shall receive a certificate and shall be featured on UERM’s Official Facebook Page.
  14. There will also be honorable mentions to participants who showcased exceptional creativity or insight. 
  15. Winners will be announced on October 22, 2025, at the conclusion of the 7th Ludvino De Guzman Memorial Lecture.
